Lishan Oolong Tea (Medium Grade)

In Stock? Yes. Price: $30.00

This Lishan medium-grade tea is grown in China. It participates in all the same qualities of the Taiwanese Lishan high-mountain oolong: fruity, high-mountain oolong taste and aroma. In the 1990's, the Lishan tea varietal was introduced into Fujian province from Taiwan. Fujian, located in southeast China, has environmental and soil conditions that are similar to Taiwan's. Recognizing the progress that Taiwanese tea farmers and processors have made over the years in their ability to process oolongs, the Chinese also hired Taiwanese expert processors to prepare the tea. We think you'll find, as we do, much to commend in this excellent quality Lishan tea.

Brewed color: Pale saffron. Flavor: Smooth, sweet, buttery, fruity: ambrosial. Aftertaste: Pleasant, lingering, coats the throat all the way back. Number of infusions: 3-4 infusions for 1 teaspoon in 4-6 ounces of water (depends on your taste). Preparation: For best results, use spring or mineral water that has just come to a boil: wait a second, then pour over the leaves.

Origin: Fujian, China. Classification: High-mountain, light-roasted oolong. Package Size: 150 grams (5.3 ounces). Grade: Medium. Picking Method: Hand.
